Roslin Cells Scoops the Mid and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce High Growth Award 2010
Edinburgh, UK, 13 December 2010 – On November 18 Roslin Cells Ltd. won the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce High Growth Award for 2010. The award, sponsored by the accountancy group Springfords, goes to businesses who demonstrate investment in future development that substantially improves their performance or potential growth.
The award recognises Roslin Cells’ strategic approach to the growth and development of its business which has been enabled through its continued success. Now operating with 23 staff and soon to expand to new custom GMP facilities at the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine this award emphasises the positive impact Roslin Cells is having on the local life science community and the company’s intentions for further development to enhance its role within the wider regenerative medicine community.
Aidan Courtney, CEO, said: “We were delighted to receive the High Growth Award. Over the last few years Roslin Cells has established itself as one of the very few organisations in the world capable of creating new stem cell lines suitable for use in therapies. “It’s terrific to see this effort recognised. Through our new Cell Therapy Partner Programme we are establishing links with universities and life science companies Worldwide which will lead to new medical therapies being developed in the coming years which will drive our continued growth.”
